In July 2021, AgileX Robotics, a leading provider of mobile robot chassis and customized autonomous driving solutions, completed a funding round for a cutting-edge commercial mobile robotics project.
The latest round of funding for AgileX Robotics’ RMB 100 million project was completed with the help of investors including Sequoia Capital China, 5Y Capital, Vertex Ventures China, and Hong Kong X Technology Fund. Each of the investors is a leading venture capital institution, having successfully invested in and incubated successful Chinese unicorn companies such as DJI, Xiaomi, Alibaba, and JD.com.
With the support and trust of top-tier capital, AgileX Robotics will accelerate the development of commercialized outdoor low-speed autonomous driving robotics across entire industries, boosting labor productivity with AgileX Robotics’ high-performance mobile chassis array and AI software, said Jidong Wei, founder and CEO of AgileX Robotics, who also co-founded the DJI RoboMaster Robotics Competition while working for DJI.
“With powerful engineering and manufacturing capabilities, AgileX Robotics’ standardized robotic chassis with a multi-payload expansion interface has adapted the extremely fragmented needs of outdoor mobile robots to a standard R&D framework.
