Supported by a variety of AgileX adaptable robotic chassis, it offers researchers a highly accurate, easy-to-program software and hardware platform that makes it easy to jumpstart any industrial application and robotics R&D project.
The AgileX mobile manipulator is an easy-to-configure system that delivers robust autonomous performance in precise grasping operations, autonomous positioning and navigation, path planning, and obstacle avoidance. It is compatible with a 6-degree-of-freedom (DOF) AUBO-i5/xArm6 robotic arm, meeting diverse requirements for grasping accuracy, high payload, working radius (819–886 mm), and safety in human-robot interaction. With a repeat positioning accuracy of ±0.03 mm and a maximum gripping force of 160 N, it can grasp up to 5 contact points of an object and automatically adapt to its shape.
Based on Agilex’s open-source ROS package, the manipulator is equipped with 16 LiDAR lasers and an Intel Realsense depth camera, enabling high-precision autonomous mapping, navigation, and positioning in real time without additional configuration of ROS LiDAR nodes.
In addition to the officially equipped sensors, it is a powerful programmable platform that can be easily customized with other sensors according to the needs of the customer's project, and supported by the Manipulator's built-in open-source ROS operating system, making it a truly unique and unparalleled hardware and software platform for the researcher.
The Mobile Manipulator easily adapts to AgileX Robotics’ full range of mobile chassis, including the tracked Bunker, the all-terrain UGV Scout2.0, the Ackerman-steered Hunter2.0, and the omni-directional-steered Ranger Mini. This way, the AgileX Mobile Manipulator can not only easily handle indoor industrial applications, but also cover wide outdoor scenarios such as orchards, agriculture, mining, and more, with effortless mobility through soft soil, vegetation, dense mud, steep slopes, and stairs.
